This live 3-hour online training focuses on helping mental health professionals understand what autism is and how to interact with those on the autism spectrum. This training promotes awareness of the social, sensory, and environmental barriers which affect individuals who have autism. Participants will learn how play is affected and the play strengths and deficits common with autism. Participants will also learn how to set up an autism friendly office/therapy room and how to understand and address behavior in sessions. This training is perfect for mental health professionals who are beginning to work with children with autism and needing to gain valuable information for communicating, interacting, and providing mental health care to children with autism.

He owns and operates the Robert Jason Grant Ed.D AutPlay Therapy Clinic. Dr. Grant specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families, including working with autistic children, neurodivergent children, and those diagnosed with ADHD and other developmental disorders. He is the creator of AutPlay® Therapy, an integrative family play therapy approach. He is also a Certified Autism Movement Therapy and trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/trauma related therapy for children and adults. |
