This live 3-hour online training focuses on helping mental health professionals understand what autism is and how to interact with those on the autism spectrum. This training promotes awareness of the social, sensory, and environmental barriers which affect individuals who have autism. Participants will learn how play is affected and the play strengths and deficits common with autism. Participants will also learn how to set up an autism friendly office/therapy room and how to understand and address behavior in sessions. This training is perfect for mental health professionals who are beginning to work with children with autism and needing to gain valuable information for communicating, interacting, and providing mental health care to children with autism.

He specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders. He is the creator of AutPlay® Therapy, an ASD and neurodevelopmental disorders approach incorporating play therapy, behavioral therapy, and relationship development approaches. He is also a Certified Autism Movement Therapy provider and trained in many established ASD treatment approaches.|
