The Sydney Centre for Creative Change equity scholarship program is designed for mental health practitioners who could benefit from professional development training in creative therapies and are experiencing some demonstrable disadvantage, which is a barrier to accessing professional development.
The equity scholarship covers the cost of or toward any combination of available webinars or online professional development courses we offer, (up the value of $600). It does not cover other expenses related to course attendance. In the interests of equity, previous scholarship recipients are welcome to apply two years after the year they were successful.
Up to 6 successful applicants will be offered full equity scholarships to attend professional development training with us in 2026. Scholarships can not be used in conjunction with any other discounts.
Eligibility
Experiencing one or more of the following educational disadvantages;
- Carer responsibilities
- Financial hardship
- Indigenous Australian
- Refugee status
- Sole parent responsibilities
- Long term illness or disability
- Living in a regional or remote area in Australia
Note: Please read the document, Categories of Educational Disadvantage, which defines eligibility, for each disadvantage and the documentation, you must provide to support your application.
Selection criteria
- You must fulfill at least one of the equity criteria and provide documentary evidence of meeting those criteria.
- Applicants must ensure that they complete the personal statement section of the application.
- Selection of this scholarship will be determined on the basis of the application / personal statement and the fulfillment of the equity requirements of the scholarship.
- The selection committee will compromise representatives from the Sydney Centre for Creative Change
Note: Being eligible doesn’t guarantee the offer of a scholarship, as you are competing against other eligible applicants. Preference will be given to applicants not already have received previous scholarships with us.
