Master Class Overview 

This Masterclass will explore connections with our natural environment and how you can help children develop skills of observation, enhance sensitivity and creativity, and enable care of self.

Insights will be offered into the complexity of the earth’s systems and how these support self-awareness and transformation, promote healing, and offer nourishment. Practical processes will be shared, with the opportunity for you to develop your own.

Experience how everyday creativity can transform thinking and perceived problems. Consider how you can support children to see the possibilities for this too.

We will explore how individuals and communities can progress through feelings including grief, anxiety, and disruption, at a time when these are exacerbated by significant social and ecological issues including climate change.

Develop your own strategies through methods that can be explored wherever you are, and with minimal resources. 

You will have the opportunity to:

• • Navigate issues associated with mental health through engagement with the natural environment.
  • Develop creative processes responsive to sensory experience, individuals, and circumstance.
  • Enable a greater breadth of possibility in the workplace, home, and community.
  • Activate processes that enable participation, sharing, and connection.
  • Generate loving outcomes focused on empathy and sensitive responsiveness.

   

  Facilitator - Vicky Shukuroglou
  		Vicky is a multidisciplinary artist and writer with a passion for activating dynamic, reflective learning spaces and a powerful sense of identity.   Using creative practice as a vehicle and path to enhance empathy, awareness, connectivity, and innovation, Vicky supports individuals and groups to achieve positive transformation and valuable participation.   As a colleague described, '…perhaps everything Vicky does reflects a cultural narrative about how we learn with and from each other'.   Vicky works with people of diverse ages and far-ranging cultural backgrounds. Her creative pedagogy is known for stimulating participants’ sense of possibility, capacity, and motivation to learn and engage with their world in meaningful ways.

   

   

Please note, this LIVE and INTERACTIVE training event will be recorded and available to Gold Members for 3 months. Practice in break out rooms will not be recorded.

Who should attend?

This Play Therapy Master Class is open to all SCCC Gold Members and past alumni of the SCCC Graduate Certificate in Play and Art Therapy Course. This course is limited to 16 people.
