Masterclass overview 

Endings can be challenging. In this workshop, you will learn about optimal ways to manage the ending of therapeutic relationships with children and the key issues to consider during this process. We will be practicing creative and practical methods to help prepare for therapeutic closure, drawing from play, art, music, movement and dramatherapy techniques.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Identify key issues to consider in ending therapeutic relationships;
• Practice techniques suitable for therapeutic termination in children counselling and play therapy;
• Utilize skills to map processes to manage therapy termination;
• Connect with like-minded play therapy professionals in the field for supportive skills development.

Please note, this LIVE and INTERACTIVE training event will be recorded and exclusively available to Gold Members for 3 months. Practice in break out rooms will not be recorded.

It is FREE training for all SCCC Gold Members and open to all SCCC Members and past alumni of the SCCC Graduate Certificate in Play and Art Therapy Course.

Workshop Facilitator -  Jacki Short
		Jacki Short is a highly experienced counselling psychologist, play therapist and supervisor with over 25 years’ experience in counselling, supervision, group work and training.  She has worked in a wide range of clinical settings including schools, hospitals, welfare organisations, drug and alcohol agencies and in private practice with children and young people. These years of clinical experience have built her knowledge of the active elements for support and change and have inspired Jacki’s belief in the power of imagination, positivity, play and possibilities - especially in the face of challenge. As the owner and director of Sydney Centre for Creative Change, Jacki is passionate about supporting others to find creative ways to express, explore and resolve difficulties and to grow strengths and capacity.
