Delegate Registration Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 The Conference is organised and managed by Sydney Centre for Creative Change (SCCC)), a company registered in Australia (ABN 36 144 017 899).

1.2 References to “us” mean and references to Sydney Centre for Creative Change (SCCC)), “we” and “our” shall be construed accordingly. References to “you” mean the entity completing a booking request and references to “your” shall be construed accordingly.

1.3 All applications to register for the conference are made subject to these Terms & Conditions, which shall apply to the exclusion of any terms imposed by you.

1.4 You acknowledge and accept that we have the right to publicly announce our business relationship with you, which may include but is not limited to announcements on social media. Such announcements shall not be disparaging or otherwise adverse to your business.

1.5 You must be at least 18 years of age to register for and attend the conference, unless otherwise agreed with the SCCC. Delegates may be asked to present an official identity card stating their age.


2. Registration

2.1 To register for the conference, delegates must register and pay via the SCCC Booking platform. Upon successful submission of your registration, a confirmation email and tax invoice will be sent to the email address used during the registration process. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us at sydneycentreforcreativechange@gmail.com.

2.2 All applications to register for the conference are subject to availability and full payment.


3. Prices and Payment

3.1 Prices for attending the conference are set out on the relevant registration booking form or can be obtained from the SCCC website. Prices may be subject to change.

3.2 Once your booking has been confirmed, an invoice will automatically be sent to you upon receipt of payment. Payment is due at the time of registration.

3.3 Credit card fees may apply to payments.

3.4 SCCC does not store your payment details.

3.5 If full payment has not been received by the date of the conference, you (or the attending delegate) may be refused entry. We reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time if payment is not made.

3.6 Discount codes are valid only at the time of initial purchase. Refunds will not be authorised for registrations where a special offer becomes available after the initial purchase. Discount codes cannot be applied to already discounted registrations or transferred to other individuals or entities.


4. Changes and Cancellations

4.1 If you are unable to attend the conference, substitute delegates may attend in your place at no additional cost, provided we receive at least two (2) days’ notice prior to the conference and full payment has been received. Substitution requests must be submitted via email to sydneycentreforcreativechange@gmail.com.

4.2 If you are unable to attend the conference due to government restrictions but the conference is still proceeding, you must notify the Secretariat via email at least seven (7) days prior to the conference. In this circumstance, your paid registration will be refunded in full. Cancellation requests must be sent to sydneycentreforcreativechange@gmail.com.

4.3 Cancellation policy:

  • Up to 60 days prior to the conference: tickets are fully reimbursable, minus a $50.00 administration fee.
  • Between 59 and 30 days prior to the conference: tickets are 50% reimbursable.
  • Between 29 days and the day of the conference: tickets are non-refundable.

4.4 It may be necessary, for reasons beyond our reasonable control, to alter the advertised content, timing, location of the conference, or the advertised speakers. We reserve the right to make such changes at any time. Where we alter the time and/or location of the Conference, we will provide you with notice of the change and offer you the choice of a full reimbursement or the opportunity to attend the Conference as varied.

4.4 The Organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the Conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure.

The term “Force Majeure” means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Organisers, including but not limited to war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operations, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, acts or regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, natural disasters, transport delays or difficulties, and the insolvency of airline carriers.


5. Postponement

5.1 SCCC may, in its absolute discretion, elect to either postpone or cancel the conference by providing notice in writing. Cancellation or postponement may be necessary due to acts, events or causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, industrial disputes, failure of electricity or gas supply, war, civil strife, flood, storm, fire, accident, unavailability of raw materials or supplies, explosion, global or national health emergencies (including, without limitation, coronavirus COVID-19), epidemics, breakdown of plant, machinery or equipment, or shortages of labour, transportation, fuel, equipment or materials.

5.2 If the conference is postponed to a later date, these Terms and Conditions will continue to apply.


6. Content

6.1 All rights in all presentations, documentation and materials published or otherwise made available as part of the conference are owned by us or are included with the permission of the rights owner.

No (i) photography, filming or recording; or (ii) republication, broadcast or other dissemination of the Content is permitted.

You must not distribute, reproduce, modify, store, transfer or otherwise use any of the Content, except that use by the relevant delegate for internal business purposes is permitted. Without limitation, you must not (and must ensure your delegates do not):

6.1.1 upload any Content into any shared system;
6.1.2 include any Content in a database;
6.1.3 include any Content on a website or intranet;
6.1.4 transmit, re-circulate or otherwise make available any Content to any other person;
6.1.5 make any commercial use of the Content; or
6.1.6 use Content in any way that infringes third-party rights or brings us or our affiliates into disrepute.

6.2 The Content does not necessarily reflect our views or opinions.

6.3 Any suggestions or advice contained in the Content should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional or other advice. While reasonable care is taken to ensure Content created by us is accurate and complete, some Content is supplied by third parties and cannot be independently verified.

The Content is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for losses arising from inaccuracies, omissions, or unlawful material contained in the Content.

6.4 Where Content is made available online, we reserve the right to suspend or remove access at any time.


7. Liability

7.1 Subject to clause 7.4, our aggregate liability to you, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, in connection with the conference or booking, is limited to the amount paid by you to attend the conference.

7.2 Subject to clause 7.4, we shall not be liable for any loss of profit, loss or damage to data, loss of anticipated savings or interest, loss of reputation or goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss.

7.3 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SCCC, its staff and affiliates against all losses, costs, claims or expenses arising from any act or omission by you or your delegates in connection with the conference.

7.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for:
7.4.1 death or personal injury caused by negligence;
7.4.2 fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
7.4.3 any liability that cannot be excluded by law.


8. General

8.1 You consent to receive conference-related communications via email. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link provided.

8.2 You agree that communications may be electronic and acknowledge that such communications satisfy legal requirements for written notice.

8.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of NSW, Australia, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.


9. Attendance

9.1 Delegates must be officially registered and wear appropriate identification to enter the conference.

9.2 You must comply at all times with:

  • these Terms and Conditions;
  • any Venue terms and conditions;
  • any reasonable direction given by SCCC Management, Venue staff or their representatives.

SCCC Management reserves the right to immediately terminate the registration of any delegate who fails to comply.


10. Privacy Policy

10.1 You acknowledge and agree that during the Conference:

  • you may be photographed, filmed or recorded;
  • SCCC Management may use your name and image in promotional or related materials without remuneration;
  • your personal information may be used and disclosed for purposes connected with the Conference.
